Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks: Prospect Watch, TSN Radio Rebrand Confirmed
A look at Vancouver's top 10 prospects going into the 2014-15 season, and another edition of "Who Wore it Best?" - Carol Schram
Canucks prospect list is improving. Hopefully they can get another top 10 pick in next year's draft. Seems like every guy in the top 10 ranking has a legit shot at becoming an NHLer one day. I'm curious to see if Fox can translate his impressive 20 year old junior season into success at the pro level. Seems like the kind of guy other teams would hate to play against. |

To be blunt, that list is wack a f*ck. Gaunce, Horvat, Corrado, and Jensen all slated to make the team? Cederholm at 10? U wot Adam? |

I think there is a good chance one or two could make the team if the team moves Higgins or Hansen or other bottom 6. Especially Corrado has a good chance of being a 6th or 7th, but will likely see more minutes in Utica.
Where would you put Cederholm in terms of the depth chart? |

They recently revealed number 8 to be Ben Hutton and gave a glowing review of the blueliner. http://canucksarmy.com/20...pect-profile-8-ben-hutton
Edit: seems as though we might indeed have some quality D prospects |

With the amount of time Shinkaruk missed I see him playing in Utica for half a season. All the while lighting up opposing goaltenders like Christmas trees on Christmas eve!!! Kids put in a lot of hard work this summer, he'll impress at camp I'm predicting.
Horvat is going to make this club!! I like the all-around game he brings to the table, he'll surprise at camp as well.
Jensen needs a complete year in the AHL to gain confidence and pop a 30 goal season. |

Maybe one or two, certainly not all four.
Cederholm should be lower down in the 15-20 range IMO. |

Was worried for a second that you may have wanted him higher.
Anyway, Linden earlier in the summer sounded like Horvat was going to be given every opportunity to make the team with the expectation he should. Gaunce has a lot of competition to make the bottom 6 and looked like he had a chance before all the trades.
I think Corrado would be on the team at #7 if it wasn't for the acquisition of Sbisa. So all good, give him some more time in the minors.
Unless Jensen lights it up in camp, no need to rush him along.
Eager to see so many of our youth get a shot, but time in the AHL with a more competitive team makes more sense. |

Our defensive prospect pool is weak, and I like Hutton. |

I think Horvat will get a full 9 game shot. It will be up to him to make it past that. Shink has the scoring touch and aggressive skating that Hank and Dan need. Truly it depends on what type of play Willy decides to play. |

I think a Danny-Henrik-Shinkaruk line would be struggle for multiple reasons but that's just me.
I hope Horvat gets 9 games just to get him some NHL experience and is sent back down unless he really is impressive and consistent in those 9, but just not looking like a scrub shouldn't be enough for him to make it.
My guess is that one of Jensen or Shinkaruk make the team. Gaunce starts in the AHL.

Obviously, but at least there's more to it then just Cederholme ( longshot), Subban (longershot) and McEney or whatever. |
